At Meraki Mama Collective, we believe that movement and mindfulness are the key to health and wellness, especially in during pregnancy and postpartum. Our classes are designed to cater to your changing body, build confidence in your intuition and body wisdom, and connect you to your village. Each class begins with introductions/sharing and incorporates guided mediation, breath work, flowing movement, and postures to embody your strength, softness, and divine feminine energy.

Our classes are informed by yoga, pilates, and midwifery techniques to prepare the mind and body for birth and optimize healing postpartum. Come for the yoga, and leave with mom friends you’ll have to walk this beautiful journey with you!

Classes

  • MMC signature yoga class for pregnant students. This small group class offers an intimate, safe space to move, breath, connect, and learn from one of our highly trained and compassionate instructors. Class begins with 15 minutes of introductions and doula guided discussion centered on connecting to your transformation and preparing for birth and postpartum, followed by 60 minutes of movement, meditation, and breath. This class focuses on mobilizing the body, encouraging baby into optimal fetal position for birth, and connecting the student to her intuition and body wisdom.

  • CONNECT WITH YOUR BABY, YOUR BODY, AND YOUR BREATH

    This yoga class is playful and supportive of building your connection and confidence as a new mother. All poses and flows are modified to incorporate your baby, with options incase your baby is sleeping or feedings. Each session begins with introductions and sharing, and ends with a soft guided breath practice and savasana for both you and baby. This class environment is supportive of all of the roles of motherhood, so feel to feed, change, and soothe baby while in the classroom.

  • These aren’t your typical membership packages. Each package is a set duration of THREE OR SIX months, and offers either FOUR, EIGHT or UNLIMITED classes per month.

    Membership classes can be used at any location, for all classes, and can be put on hold for up to four weeks when you give birth.

FAQs

I just found out I’m pregnant, when can I start?

Because our classes are safer than any other fitness class out there for pregnant women, you can start as soon as you’re ready. Our classes are the sweet spot to connect to other soon to be mothers, to be present with yourself, and move confidently in your body. Many women join us before they announce their pregnancy! We’ll encourage you to be mindful of any recommendations your care provider has given you around movement.

When should I stop practicing prenatal yoga?

Girl, stop?! As long as you’re not having any medical complications, we encourage you to keep practicing with us until you give birth. Our classes are designed to prepare your mind, body and baby for birth. All of the movements are even safe for early labor with the goal of mobilizing the spine, hips, and pelvis, focusing the mind on relaxation, and optimizing baby’s position.

I’d like to start with the New Student One Week Unlimited pass, Can you tell me how it works?

We highly recommend starting with this intro offer so that you can take more than one class, location and teacher! This pass runs for exactly seven days, And activates one the day of your first class. For example, if you buy the pass on Sunday, and your first class is Monday, then your pass will run from Monday through Sunday. The pass is good for any class, at all locations.

How should i prepare for class?

No matter if this is your first yoga class or you’re a pro, you’ll enjoy teaching that supports every body and every student. Our teachers are trained to support beginners as many of our students are new to practicing yoga.

All of our locations will supply you with all of your props excluding a yoga mat. Some locations may have an extra mat, but we encourage you to bring your own. You’ll want to wear comfortable clothes you can move in, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

How do I know which location my class is at?

When looking at the schedule, you’ll want to check the category “Room” to see the location of your class. Because our system (and most scheduling systems) won’t allow us to have more than one location, we’ve chosen to utilize the Room feature to designate each location. You can filter the schedule by Rooms if you want to attend a specific location, or just check it to get the correct address prior to class.
